EYEBROW TATTOO PROCEDURE:
PRE-APPOINTMENT:
For best results, we recommend the following:
DO NOT consume caffeine, alcohol or blood thinning medication (ibuprofen, Vitamin A & E, Aspirin, Niacin, Fish oil supplements) for a minimum of 48-72 hours prior to your appointment, to avoid excess bleeding.
It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN/TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the tattoo pigment with it.
Avoid the following cosmetic facial procedures 3-4 weeks before:
- Chemical peels (salicylic acid, glycolic, alpha hydroxy, etc)
- Exfoliation and retinol products.
- Botox and fillers
- Laser facials
- Waxing, tweezing shaving is not needed but if you prefer too, brow shaping should be done 2 days in advance.
APPOINTMENT DAY:
On the day of your appointment, eat a light snack 20-30 minutes before arriving. Please come in with your makeup done so I may assess ho you normally fill your brows in and we will also be taking lots of photos.
What to expect before/during your procedure:
- Consultation & Brow Mapping Design: (30 minutes or until satisfied with design) Please bring photos of tattoo examples for your ideal shape. As artists, we will work with you to design your custom cosmetic tattoo to enhance your natural facial features. A pigment match is then chosen based on your skin tone and hair color.
- Numbing: (15-20 Minutes) Prior to the procedure, a topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment) is applied. We also layer an additional numbing agent between each pass to increase your comfort. Pain is usually minimal but every client is different and will depend on each individuals tolerance.

LIP BLUSH PROCEDURE:
***Lip tattooing can cause cold sore outbreaks. Only those with the herpes simplex virus can get cold sores, however some clients may not know that they carry the virus. We highly recommend that ALL our clients take an anti-viral medication such as Zovirax Oral (Acyclovir oral) 5 days prior to their appointment, then the day of. Then 5 days after the procedure to prevent any cold sores outbreaks. Many clients who have never experienced a coldsore before can boost their immune system and promote faster healing with L-lysine with their physicians recommendation. If you have an outbreak, or any other type of scratch/acne we ask that you reschedule your appointment.***
Please exfoliate your lips within a week prior the appointment. You can do this at home with a drop of coconut oil and sugar to create your own sugar scrub. Dry lips cannot be worked on, therefore it is important to stay hydrated and to moisturize your lips everyday. I recommend using Aquaphor.
PRE APPOINTMENT:
Avoid supplements with blood thinning effects. Supplements that have blood thinning effects include dong quai, fish oil, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, green tea, red clover, and vitamin E and should be discontinued 7 days prior to getting a cosmetic tattoo. These supplements may increase bleeding especially if you’re taking blood-thinning medications like warfarin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Avoid Blood Thinning Medications. A number of medications make your blood less likely to clot (“thinner”) including aspirin, Midol, Excedrin, and NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Naproxen, Aleve). These medications should be discontinued 7 days before and 1 day following your appointment. If you need to take something for pain opt for Tylenol (acetaminophen). Coumadin and Plavix also have blood thinning effects but it is not recommended to discontinue them due to their medical necessity. You should be aware of the increased risk of bruising if you’re taking them.
Do not consume alcohol 24-48 hours prior. Alcohol has anti-platelet effects and increases your chances of bruising and blood thinning. So skip the glass of wine the night before and after your treatment.
APPOINTMENT DAY:
Begin taking the anti-viral medication such as Zovirax Oral (Acyclovir oral) the day of the appointment day (you should have started 5 days prior to your appointment). Then 5 days after the procedure to prevent any cold sores outbreaks.
Eat a light snack 20-30 minutes before arriving. Please bring in reference photos of your desired look/color and your favourite lip stick!
What to expect before/during your procedure:

- Numbing: (15-20 Minutes) Prior to the procedure, a topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment) is applied. We also layer an additional numbing agent between each pass to increase your comfort. Pain is usually minimal but every client is different and will depend on each individuals tolerance.
